For those wanting a bit more engagement, small motorcycles are very common in Taiwan. The added benefit of larger wheels and tires makes them more suitable for rough backroads.
ABOUT
I am an American expat and motorcycle/scooter enthusiast trying to help new people rent, learn, purchase and enjoy riding in Taiwan safely.
Since the day I arrived here in Taiwan in 2004, I started getting myself heavily involved in the motorcycle and scooter scene here. I have been buying, selling, riding, teaching, finding parts, restoring and racing here since then. The local racing scene really opened my doors into Taiwan's local motorcycle and scooter community.

CSRT 騎勝技研
CSRT or 騎勝技研 is one of the most talented motorcycle and scooter mechanic shops I have ever come across here in Taiwan. The two bosses 陳麒勝 (Ah Sen) or 游家煥 (we call him Super Idol) are extremely friendly towards foreigners too. They can’t speak English well, but they understand a lot and are very foreigner friendly. Their shop can pretty much do it all. They have so much equipment and can fix any scooter, custom bike or big bike. The owner also specializes in 2-strokes and can easily source parts for your Honda NSR or Yamaha RZX/RZR. The owner has a special interest in older bikes too. He can weld and use an English Wheel, so if you wanted something special done, they can do it.
I am constantly hanging out at their shop, so if you need help with translating feel free to contact me as well. The shop is usually open daily from 11-30am-10pm (sometimes later too). All RKRT Rental motorcycles and scooters get maintained though CSRT.
